The 100-Day Challenge

Jun 04, 2025

So here I am, about to commit to something that has me equal parts excited and also wondering why I make life difficult for myself sometimes.

There has been a lot of change over the last 6 months:

New town. New home. New networks to build. New routines to create.

It’s no wonder that things have felt all over the place for a while and the usual marketing consistency has dropped.

And as someone who works in marketing and actively spends her time helping her clients to show up as much as possible, the irony has been painful.

But that all changes now.

Amongst a list of other tasks, my main aim over the summer is to show up on LinkedIn every single day for 100 days straight.

This challenge will finish in September, which in the sales calendar, is a time when everyone often comes to life and decides to start investing in their business again.

Therefore, this challenge is a real ‘future friend’ move to get everything back on track and moving forward.

Why I'm Doing This

I'll be honest with you, my posting and emailing has been inconsistent to say the least.

When we go through stressful events in life, we often slip into ‘survival mode’ and do only what is necessary.

For me, that has been client work including 1:1 support and showing up inside our business community.

Behind the scenes, I’ve kept busy, but the emotional energy and enthusiasm hasn’t been there for public visibility.

When this happens to us, it’s less than ideal and ironically can make our stressful situations feel more intense.

But I’ve always noticed a strong correlation between the energy I show up with, and how that reflects back to me in the people I attract.

So at the start of 2025 I made a conscious decision to step back and not push myself or my business as I sorted out all of the life that was life-ing!

Fast forward 6 months and it’s time to get a wiggle on with a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm.

Here's what this challenge is really about:

  • Getting back into the flow of consistency and enjoying it
  • Building my own marketing funnels and leaning into the automated processes
  • Growing my 1:1 services
  • Getting back out there networking
  • Showing up publicly for our community instead of just working behind the scenes.

What's Going to Feel Crunchy

Because let's be real, this isn't going to be all sunshine and engagement rates.

I'm already preparing myself for:

The days when my brain feels like mush.

You know those days when you stare at the screen and nothing comes?

But thankfully, we spend time inside the community building a bank of content that can be dipped into every week for those moments.

Plus, you can trust there is an epic spreadsheet on the go tracking progress and mapping out content focus/strategy for the next 3 months.

When my health flares up.

The worst thing about having my health problem is the brain fog that comes with having ‘bad days’.

Hot water bottles and painkillers work miracles for aching joints, but clearing the fuzzy thoughts and inability to concentrate is infuriatingly frustrating at times.

And this is why I always emphasise to my clients (and myself) that we need to have these banks of content, scheduled content, and automated processes that mean if we do have ‘bad days’, the whole business doesn’t stop.

And everyone will be none the wiser that I’m actually lying on the sofa watching TV on a Tuesday afternoon!

The temptation to obsess over numbers.

Oh, this one's going to be hard.

The brutal truth is that the algorithm is not going to like me much at the moment. I’ve been inconsistent and not engaging much.

So this is going to require patience and dedication to keep showing up and woo the platform to trust me again and start sharing my content more broadly.

It’s also always important to remember that likes don’t equal sales.

Most of my clients hang around in the background watching (aka lurking) and contact me directly.

All the distractions.

Email notifications. WhatsApp pings. Social media alerts. That "quick" call that turns into an hour. Growing to-do lists. Website updates. Chasing people. Making decisions.

The list goes on and on of things that can eat up time in the day.

So to combat this, I have a dedicated slot in the diary each day for this 100-day challenge.

If it’s in the diary, it's non-negotiable.

But Here's What’s Exciting

While I'm posting every day, the real magic is happening behind the scenes.

Being consistent and showing up for your business isn’t just good for your marketing and visibility, it’s good for your mindset.

It helps you trust yourself and build that self-belief that you can achieve your goals.

We all know that progress is often small and incremental, yet from the outside it can easily appear as an overnight success.

And with consistency, comes a sense of clarity.

You’ll be practising your messaging and sales techniques every day.

You’ll have the confidence and opportunity to try new things and appreciate that this is all one big strategic experiment.

And with this increased visibility and actively putting yourself out there, new opportunities will inevitably arise that will open doors to things you might not even be aware of today.

And so we begin

Today is day one.

Some days I'll hopefully have interesting insights to share.

Other days it might just be simply the case of diving into the content bank and grabbing something that looks half decent to share.

Some posts will be polished.

Others might be me at 7am with my cup of tea saying "this is exhausting, but here’s a random marketing/mindset thought and a picture of my dog because it guarantees engagement!"

But I'll be here. Every day. No excuses.

Wish me luck and come say hi over on LinkedIn

Your Turn

So what about you? What's your version of this challenge?

Maybe it's not daily LinkedIn posts.

Maybe it's weekly emails, monthly networking events, daily client outreach, posting a few reels each week, or anything else?

What would happen if you committed to showing up consistently in ONE area of your business for the next 100 days?

And if you want to do this journey together in a community where someone actually knows your name and your goals – we've got room for you.

But spaces are limited because real support happens in small spaces.
